What is the best pay as you go mobile to get, once purchased can i use the phone immediately and is it possible to use the sim card in any phone ?

you can only use the sim card in any phone as long as the phone is not locked to a specific network. so your looking to get a sim free phone. 02 payg has good packages, both my daughters have it.

Mavis is right o2 do a thing at the mo when you top up with a least ten pound per month you get (deep breath) 300 texts, 10% back every 3 months plus your tenner credit plus o2 treats which consists of either free texts, calls, voicemail or just plain old money off. Top tip - if you buy any phone from The Carphone Warehouse nomatter which network you buy they are all unlocked to any network anyway. They wont tell you this but its true. Eg. i recently bought a sony ericsson w300i from them, i wanted it on 02 but its was �140, so i purchased it on orange �109 saved a few quid and just bunged my old sim in it. its works fine.
