For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Like sammd, if there a quite a few answers, I tend not to, because I probably couldn't add anything new, but if there are no answers, or just one or two, if I know the answer to the question, or can help in some way, then i'll answer, also, if I don't know the answer, then i;ll try to find it, Google, Dictionary etc, you can find and learn quite a lot, because of this, and like sites.
I like to answer questions i have knowledge of IE:- politicts, current affairs, history etc. I have an opinion on all of these subjects and love hearing other AB'ers views. sometimes though someone like Ward-Minter pops up who is an out and out lier, someone who claimes to have been an Army Officer but who quite clearly in his answers has only had one job in life and that is pushing shopping trollies aroung his local Tesco car park.
And do you have your non-favourites ... I hardly ever venture into Sport and if I do I have no idea what anyone is talking about, and I sometimes wander into Animals and Nature and beat a hasty retreat as it always seem to be headed by something horrible like "dog worms" or "my cat is being sick and has one eye going funny" which puts me off my dinner !!!!!!
lady_p_gold whenever I go into Animals and Nature, someone is talking about a cat doing poos in their garden then someone else says something about shooting the poor animal which completely gets up my nose so I stay away from the site now. And like you say, you stick with the sites you know something about otherwise it is a complete waste of time ! Who knows anything about technology anyway ? Not me !
I love being first (modom!) but if there are responses there, I will read through them. If it's a straightforward question, and has been answered, I won't bother unless I can add some information. If it's a debate and someone has already voiced my view, again I won't bother to duplicate, but if my opinion or fact is not there, I will pile in.
