After a very tough 3 weeks in the TdF and after winning Bronze in the Time Trial he wins the Mens Road Race and Gold for Wales.
A bit fraught near the end with a puncture but he had built up enough of a lead that it was immaterial.
Tonight he carries our flag and as a proud Welshman he said the honour is just as big as winning the Gold.

Cracking win though that puncture was a bit squeaky bum time!! Wish Sky would give him the lead in races, too talented to be a domestique

I know he loves the classics Slappy but his days as a super-domestique must surely be nearing an end as he is now becoming a serious GC contender, or will be over the next 2 years.

And yes, it was squeaky bum time! I really thought the other 2 were going to pass him, which would have been a travesty.
