Does anyone have any information on the reliability of Caste Trust. They are an investment/bank organisation offering among other thing savings bonds one a one or two year fixed term at excellent rates. They are part of the bank compensation scheme and only accept deposits from UK residents. Deposits can only be made with them by debit card. The company apparently stated up around 2012.

I don't think they've been around long enough for anyone to judge their reliability
What rate is it? I can't see anyone offering more than 2-3% pa so I'd be wary of any higher promise
Although both Castle Trust Capital PLC and Castle Trust Capital Management Ltd are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and have a nice address in the city, 41 Lothbury being the old National Westminster Bank head office address, neither company is authorised to accept deposits or is regulated by the Bank of England Prudential Regulation Authority. Therefore I would be inclined to carry out further research into their investment strategies and expected results, which need to be balanced against your perceived aversion to risk before deciding to make any investment with either company.

You can get a better rate with some current accounts and some ISAs pay similar rates so I'd rather go with a more well known name. Aslo I don't think you can withdraw the money early
