Could someone explain the wordplay to:
1 across: Large gent knocked over tense soldier obstructing dance (6, 2 words) BIG _ O Y
The extra/missing/ correct letter is T
I'm assuming Big boy
19 across: Could it have been used to induce air force mistakes as king overcomes leader of traiters? (7) FE_RARA
The extra/missing/ correct letter is S
19ac has to be FERRARA. I think it's possible that the misprint is S, as in Sir (induce Sir = create a knight? Ferrara is a name of a sword). Wordplay is F + Errata, with R (king) replacing T[raitors].
Thanks from me, too. I finished Inq by Sunday night for the first time in ages but was at a loss to see how the spare letter (which had to be "s") was generated in the Ferrara clue.
