Baking Fiasco

Earlier this morning I set to and made some buns. When they were cooled I hunted high and low and couldn't find any of the nozzles to go with my icing bag, so I decided to make them into butterfly buns. I made the buttercream and if I say so myself they looked particularly scrummy.
Youngest Junior Overall helped himself to one and promptly spat it out. When I had a closer look at the jar that should have contained icing sugar, I found it contained cornflour.
I decided I could salvage the buns by scraping off the horrid "buttercream" and as I went to pick up the first one, my sleeve caught the wire cooling tray and the whole lot ended up on the floor.
To add insult to injury, I was telling Youngest Junior Overall I couldn't find the icing bag nozzles. He admitted he had been on washing up duty last time I baked and he assumed the nozzles were disposable and had put them in the bin.
I give up.
