Teabags With Tags

My OH has always used Tetley teabags with tags in his flask, but I have been unable to buy them locally for about 3 months.
Does anyone know another make that has tags.
In cafes etc they use Twinings everyday tea that have tags, but the ones on sale in the shops do not - guess they use catering packs.

PG Tips One Cup teabags (sold in boxes of 100) proudly announce on the box that they're 'The Bags With Tags'. However I'm not sure who stocks them. (Somewhat oddly, I've seen then in 'discount shops' more often than I've seen them in the big supermarkets).

Twinings also offer both 'Everyday String & Tag Tea' and 'English Breakfast String & Tag Tea' in boxes of 100.

I am curious to understand the significance of them being tag bags though, what difference does it make?

What does the tag do?

I use freeze dried tea which is in a jar with the milk already in.

The tag helps you take the tea bag out.

I have a similar need at work, making tea from a flask of hot water.

I have found a different solution, buying Typhoo one cup bags (99p a box from the 99p store, but also available from the likes of QD).

These bags are so weak that having made a cup they run out of puff. You can leave the bag in and it doesn't turn nasty. Once you have drunk the tea you just tip the bag into the bin.

Kazal probably means, that their OH takes a flask of boiling water, to use a tagged tea bag to dip in the water then remove, rather than dropping a tea bag into the flask and being unable to remove it when it has brewed to their liking.

The majority of our pound shops, all sell tagged tea bags.

Well, I wrote "I've seen then in 'discount shops' more often than I've seen them in the big supermarkets" and TheWinner back it up with "The majority of our pound shops, all sell tagged tea bags". So that gives a strong indication as to where you might start looking!

Poundland (for a somewhat obvious price!) sell Tetley 'One Cup' tea bags in packs of 76 and Typhoo 'One Cup' bags in packs of 100. The Poundland website doesn't indicate whether those bags are tagged or not but it might be worth finding out.

I've definitely bought tagged tea bags from 99p Stores (who also trade under the 'Family Bargains' name) in the past, so that's somewhere else that could be worth trying.
