The last time I needed to, it was just a question of a screwdriver and patience, but the one I bought yesterday has a complicated-looking plastic top. I think it's to make it tamper-proof, but how do I get in??
Most shops that sell paint will also sell pain tin opening tools. My oh works for Johnstone's paint and carries the opening tool on his keyring at all times, damned handy little things they are too!
it must be "break the tab seal" I'm stuck on .... never had any problem getting in with a screwdriver before, but on this tin I can't see where to start levering.
If it's the tins with the dark blue plastic lids, put your screwdriver or knife in the first ring about half a centimeter from the edge of the top, a few places all round and it should flip up.
