My grandfather served in WW1 from the onset and won the Military medal -I would like to see his war record - I just remember him, it was 60 years ago he died - I have been on line and they want £23 for 3 months, surely you can get this for free from somwhere, can anyone help?

We've been looking at the actions taken by the regiment he served in just to get an idea of what happened during the fighting on that day, so while we may not get the details of what exactly he did to be awarded the medal, we at least have a good knowledge of what happened and we can maybe make an educated guess at what happened to him
