Hi
Just a bit of clarification needed really, so that I can learn.

4d. Parish helper with a pipe (12). Is it 'churchwarden' and if so, how?

I see that someone has answered 17d as 'essence', again how? I can see that essence would be the church's lifeblood part.

Thanks
