I saw only a few of Robin Williams’ films, but the fact that this warm and talented actor has become yet another victim of depression demands a response from fellow Christians – yes, apparently Williams was a man of faith. Why, outsiders may ask, are Christians, who as children sang “Joy, joy, joy, with joy my heart is ringing”, as prone to the disease of depression as any unbeliever?

I suspect that people of faith are less likely to commit suicide than those of no faith. But that doesn't mean that people of faith are in any way not as prone to mental health problems.
one could argue that religious faith is a mental health problem

I worked with a very devout Christian who was both depressed, and took his own life. Maybe because he was human.
What's being a Christian or not got to do with having Depression?
