ah, I see what you've done, printed it twice. That doesn't double the growth rate, you know
The UK recovery after the crash stalled under Osborne's stewardship. On growth we have lagged behind France, Getmany, the EuroZone, and the US.

All that we are seeing is the UK playing catch up for our slow recovery compared to our competitors. Welcome news but hardly worth getting the bunting out for.
meanwhile, the Eurozone is stagnating.

that should be worrying - if our biggest market isn't buying, we'll follow them.
mushroom is right, Osborne's stated his aim to get the economy more reliant on exports unfortunately at a time when Britain's main markets are stagnating. The Tories may cheer that Britain is (currently) doing better than its "rivals", but when your rivals are also your customers, it's not always a good thing.

Still, better late than never.
I am sure all those millions of people on minimum wage will be feeling overjoyed this morning, along with all those young people on the dole, 868,000 according to the BBC :::

But rich people are feeling richer, so at least the Tories have achieved something I suppose. Mustn't grumble, must we ?
" Mustn't grumble, must we ? "

no because we all know how bad things always were and will always be under a labour dictatorship....
Ah baz, how I missed your incredibly angry hyperbole...

Good news, obviously, but still some way to go yet. Coincidentally the recovery appears to be arriving just in time to provide a success for the Conservatives to trumpet at the coming General Election.
Drivel baz. You might not like the Labour party but it is no more a dictatorship than any other Party in Britain. This Party that is in control now has had over 4 years to get the youth unemployment figures down and it has failed. We can start applauding our growth figures as and when that situation is improved.
Yes YMB, good work from the Tories. Don't expect the anti British to acknowldege it though, they'd rather focus on their EU friends. As usual the Tories have to get us up and running again. credit to the labour party though I mean last time they took 13 years to bring down the strongest economy in Europe they were handed in 1997, past Labour Governements had usually managed it within 1 term, well they needed to I guess as they usually got booted out after 1 term. Anyway Dave and the lads have turned it round for us once more. I do hope Mikey's marxists don't get in and wreck it again! Still the public are fickle as we know!
"Drivel baz. "
which nicely describes just about every post of yours.
no surprise really that the UK doing well under the Tories is causing you a stomach ulcer
No Baz..."drivel" describes your assertion that a Labour Government would be a dictatorship !
EU friends are the ones Osborne is counting on to make the UK economy grow, TTT.
the reason so many young people are out of work is cos tony sent every dullard to uni to study 'history of art' or 'interpretive dance'. Now they wont consider working for less than £50,000 pa.
