I have Netflix which I sometimes watch on my laptop.
I shall be going away soon to the caravan in Wales where I have to use my Wireless Pointer (or dongle),last year because there was more than myself using it,all the data usage was used up ,could still check emails etc.but no downloading etc.
Will watching films on Netflix class as downloading?
Everything that comes through your internet connection (whether that be web pages, emails or whatever) is data that forms part of any download limit. Standard web pages (and emails without big attachments) use up very little data. Video streaming (whether that be Youtube, Netflix or whatever) uses up massive amounts of data.
Then just a couple of movies, at the lowest resolution, will use up your monthly 1Gb allowance. A single movie, at the highest resolution, will use up 4 month's allowance!
Of course I could watch DVD.
Now another question...what about games already downloaded..I play on Wild Tangent and can download games into "My Games"...would I be able to play them without the internet?????
I know nothing about the games offered by Wild Tangent, so I've no idea whether they run entirely on your laptop or use an internet connection. But it's easy enough to disconnect your laptop from the internet, so why not simply give it a try?
I am now at the caravan..lovely peaceful place.
I have a game already downloaded in My Games on the Wild Tangent website, will this not affect my data usage?
