I have, said person was on remand. On entering all pockets emptied and put in a tray (a bit like at the airport) Bag searched then put in a locker. Allowed to keep some money to spend in the vending machines to buy goodies for said inmate. The worst bit was sticking their fingers in my mouth to ensure I had no untoward objects in there. I complained that the officer had not changed her gloves from the previous visitor. She ummed and moaned a bit but changed her gloves. What if any is your experience. I've promised my self never again will I go through the humiliation of that again.

I used to give pre release courses in various nicks...first time I arrived I was sent home to change as my skirt was too short !!! Always went in jeans and baggy t shirt thereafter...Lol never had many problems re security checks but I was working there not visiting needy friend or family !
My brother works in a prison now as an electrician. On an 8 hour day the security checks take at least 3 hours, checking in and out tools etc., so all jobs take a lot longer than they would in a 'normal ' job.
The person I was visiting was Cat B. He still spent 22 hrs in his cell.

OMG that's worse !! Lol...
Many times..........when I was short of cash during my training I did " surgeries" in Wakefield Jail and on my latter years, saw patients in the Mental Hospital just outside Maghull, Liverpool....I have forgotten it's name.

To me.....Prison is the ultimate deterrent.

Col...I did a week of DD with customs and excise, airport and docks...interesting but a bit scary at times...easier in a nice warm dry benefit office !!
Sqad ..Ashworth ...
Yeeeees!
And they let you out !! Lol...xxx...
Murray, next to Ashworth was a women's prison and that was far more scary than Ashworth.........the abuse...the language.
Good life Experience though !
I've had two job interviews in prisons and was beyond delighted not to have been successful. Luckily as I wasn't seeing an inmate I didn't have anything stuck in my mouth! A very depressing experience all round.

.

well done Jeza - god I wouldn like someone else's saliva in fingers in my mouth.

It depends if you want to visit the person - you/one has to put up with it if you do...
I was invited to a Christmas concert at our local prison some years ago - we weren't searched but it was creepy with all the doors slamming.
