AB vs Google
7 Answers
Sorry to moan but does it bother anyone else when someone posts an answer to a question as "search for your question on google"? Surely everyone does that anyway but just gets more useful ideas and thoughts from ABers which is the reason they posted the question in the first place!!!?

If someone answers with, google it, I don't bother to, so therefore haven't learnt anything! There are things on here I never knew and if someone hadn't posted the question, no matter how obvious or easy it would have been to search for it, I wouldn't know them now :o)
I usually always sit here and go "Oh I never knew that!" Bit's of mindless or useless info are what make the day pass and in my opion I find quite interesting.
Plus I think some people like to find things and be helpful to other people :o)
Er, no - you're confusing two things here, and it sounds like you may be thinking AB is an alternative to Google. If you just need a simple quiz answer (Who wrote the book X? when did the battle of X take place? etc), yes it does hack me off when people post it straight to AB. That's what Google's for (among other things obviously). "useful ideas and thoughts" are irrelevant to the sort of questions that deserve the "use Google" response.
