What company makes the UPS Brown vans?

They are the American looking ones ,like you used to see in films of the 70's 80's.But are right hand drive of course.

They don't seem to have a makers name on them anywhere.Or am I not looking hard enough?

Mercedes-Benz
Merc make the new ones dumb ass.

UPS have 6 types, P20, P30, P31, P40, P47, and P5

P20, is a ford aerostar. P30, and P31 are Ford econoline.

P40's arent used anymore bar 7 or so left, and the P47 is think is the sprinter.

The P5 is the one your on about, also know as the P500. It is custom built to UPS specs by either Ford or General motors, however they no longer order from Ford due a change in chassis manufacture.

Also know as "package cars" in the US.
No I dont work for UPS, but I want one too!

Next question . Why were'nt they marked up as Ford's or GM's ?

Probably becasue its built by several manufacturers under licence by UPS.... probably something in the small print.
