Shoplifting In Pets R Us.

I have just seen a woman marched in handcuffs, into a Police Car, outside a branch of one of these out-of-town pets superstores. According to the staff she had been shoplifting. I was wondering if this lady was so poor that she couldn't afford to feed her pets ? As an animal lover, and especially a dog lover, I would starve myself rather than let me Yorkshire Wolfhound go hungry !

When I was a teenager, I worked after school and on a Saturday morning in my local small Co-op, and one of my jobs was looking out for shoplifters. We used to catch quite a few and and most of them had a tin of salmon stuffed down their drawers, not baked beans of cat food. How things have changed !

In the modern police service it is S.O.P. for prisoners to be handcuffed especially when transported in vehicles. Prevents injury to the officers in transit and evidence hidden down the back of car seats etc.which should always be searched on arrival at police station in prisoner's presence.

Just collected Little Willy from his quarterly shampoo and set. His coat was long overdue for a trim and he was beginning to look like a small, rather irritable Yak, and couldn't see out. But now he is very handsome again and no bow, blue or otherwise.

I also took the opportunity to get my hair cut this morning as well, and it cost £8:50, but Willy cost me £15:00 ! I suggested to my Barber of 30 years standing, that he might be in the wrong job, or at least catering for the wrong species.

He thought hard for a couple of mins and then said " But could I charge more if I had to do your anal glands as well ? "
