Sparks in Carberator when trying to start car
hi guys i replaced the head gasket in a ford fiesta 1.1, now when am trying to start the car, i can hear a fat burst of noise, it comes from the carberator and can see a spark as well in there, what could be wrong, can you help?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.This sounds like classic case of removing the timing belt to change the head gasket and putting it back in the wrong timing position, What is happening is that the inlet valves are not in the closed position when the ignition makes the plugs spark and the explosion can escape back through the air intake.
Don't try starting the engine again until you have verified the correct location of the timing marks for the cam belt.
