I've been fancy one for weeks. Because of Mics diet I have been concentrating on his food and not mine. Today I succumbed and bought back bacon rashers, just an 8oz pack for me. On the way home I could fair taste that bacon. Shopping put away, Mic fed I opened the pack. One bloody rasher as thick as a plank of wood, I was so mad. In different times I would have been straight back to the shop. So I had to settle for tea and a fag. Grrrrrr.

Could you cut it into thinnish strips, then fry till nice and crispy. Not as healthy as grilling but still very tasty

Already in the stray cat Rosetta.
Just read Cari's post. Misunderstood the OP. Obviously bought a gammon steak by mistake. Should have grilled/fried it with mushrooms, a fried egg and a pineapple ring for garnish, with a side order of chips and peas.
Shame, I was hoping the smell of crispy bacon would waft my way ;-)

No mistake orbit. The label said 4 rashers. Your menu would keep me going for 3 or 4 days.
Bet you want one now, Rosetta.
too true
Same here.
I complained in Lidl when the bacon I bought had 3 rashers instead of 5. They pointed out that it said in small letters "up to 5 rashers" so now I always count them first. Having said that they have changed the packs they now contain up to 7 rashers.
A friend of ours quite often spreads marmalade on his bacon, not tried that but I love bacon jam.
Jeza, I'm a fan of Westaways 'honey roast' pork sausages. I've no connection with them but feel/ taste they are the best.
