I'm about to have a really good clean up in the kitchen. Looking grotty and cant wait to lighten paint work , tiles etc.
Would you use lots of warm soapy Soda Crystals?

Maybe sugar soap better?
My sister did my Dad's kitchen with sugar soap and it came up a treat.

Cheers Pooka, have only just thought of sugar soap, thats great.
Sugar soap is great for lifting off grease etc, you can buy it in ready made spray bottles from B&Q. Good supemarket alternatives are Cif Acti-lift or kitchen spray with bleach works well too.
Sore point for me at the moment puss.. I gave my cooker a deep clean yesterday (about 4-5 hours) Now the bloody thing's not working properly :o( Better luck with yours x

Sugar soap in spray bottle sounds good Prudie. I do use Ciff too in kitchen.

Spring clean in August? Bit late!
Thanks puss..going have to call the repair man :o( I always use sugar soap for cleaning down paintwork, it's really good stuff

Better late than a grubby kitchen ginge. Much awaited spring clean.
Must be something going round, I did mine yesterday. I used Cillit bang degreaser on the tops of my wall cupboards, they were minging but it cut through the greasy dust easily.

Ratty, its amazing where the grease type feel comes from.
i have plates hanging on my wall and they've all been took down to have a soak knowing they'll look lots fresher after.
