Been refused selling empty iphone box; just decluttering. Why ?

Why would anyone buy an empty box ? Am i missing something here ?

They must have given you a reason. Any time I've been rejected (last time, I listed some party poppers) they pointed me to the part of the eBay rules which told me I couldn't do that.

To prevent folk buying it then trying to pass off a used phone as brand new in box? Just a guess....

i would imagine it's because they think you are trying to trick peopleinto bidding for an iphone, when really it's just a box. if you are really just decluttering, put it in the recycling!

I thnk they have some sort of policy where you cannot sell something separate that came with the original item.

They stopped me selling a couple of Radley dog tags I had taken off my old and knackered handbags for this reason (they came with the bag which was not for sale as it was past it's best)

Ebay sell empty Harrods carrier bags, wots wrong with my sale ? Would rather hAve 99p than binning the box
