I purchased an x-hose some 18 months ago and it has now split halfway along. Before I buy another one, has anyone else had the same problem.

The main trouble, of course, is that (when damage occurs) it can't be repaired like an ordinary hosepipe. The internal membrane is susceptible to various sorts of damage/deterioration which renders it useless. A nice idea....but basically flawed.
I've found over the years that anything getting it's own 15 or 30 minute slot on a shopping channel is destined for the bin.
