Nowadays I would possibly consider microdermabrasion to even out skin tone and get rid of acne scarring. I would also love to have my septum rebuilt (had surgery that caused it to collapse) and my nose straightened, and some dental implants.
yes I would have a face lift as it seems to be melting southwards. I would have all my filled teeth replaced with implants and the front ones I'd have sparkling veneers. I would have a tummy tuck as although I'm not overweight four pregnancies have taken their toll. And no -I would never grow old gracefully -disgracefully yes and when I go completely grey I'm having lavender or pink highlights put in. I have to add at this point OH thinks I'm crazy and says he loves me how I am but I have a sneaky feeling that's his bank balance talking not him.
I have got veneered and crowned teeth but that's my limit. Neither were done for beauty, the veneers protect heavily filled front teeth that would not have survived without them. This is my choice though. I wouldn't judge someone else who chose differently.
As for growing old gracefully, no chance at all and I wouldn't have it as a gift!

It's an interesting one Bazile. In my ma's generation, dyeing your hair was considered on a par with selling sex. Piercing ears ditto.
Cosmetic surgery used to be scary, complex and hideously expensive - it's getting more or less better and comparatively safe and more affordable.
Given that we believe the future will get ever better and brighter, then it should become routine and a matter of easy personal choice 'at some future point'.
Which takes the matter back to its 'moral' dimension. If the operation is not complex and is within your budget, and if it will please you, why should anyone else have a say in the matter?
But then there is the increasing pernicious brain-whisper of the media, dictating what beauty is and constantly gently pointing out your imperfections, which is a toxic situation that shouldn't be encouraged.
