I am due a refund for an overpayment of income tax on my self employed earnings. I have just checked on my HMRC account and it is showing as pending with interest accrued up to 1st September , does that mean it should be transferred in to my bank account on that date ? TIA

I would think so jasmin... but if it's not paid in on that date just give them a ring.. They are really helpful these days.
You should know by Monday or Tuesday. I'm assuming you have arranged for it to be paid direct rather than by cheque
Looks like it jasmin
