Pretty amazing pictures AOG. I`ve been in (on the ground) the British one. I must dig the pictures out sometime.
Stunning.

if anyone is interested and can get along to Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirby on 2 Sept, the two Lancs will be doing a low pass over the runway whilst Just Jane (the third but not airworthy Lanc) takes a run down the runway.

Once in a lifetime that one.
Fabulous pictures AOG, the Germans never had an equivalent.....thank goodness.

Thank you AOG, some great footage there!
An interesting article and great photos there, AOG. Lancaster VR-A is based less than a hundred miles from me and I have never seen it in flight around here, so lucky you people over there Taking a look at that rear-gun turret (tail-end Charlie?): I wonder how many men survived that position.
Fantastic photos AOG.
Excellent, enjoyed the video and great photos. Thanks for posting them aog.
Great video aog.Over the years we've seen our Lanc several times and it always brings a lump to the throat especially when the Hurricane and Spitfire are in formation
Good clear Photos AOG, we'll not see anything like that again. I'd have been scared stiff to be aiming guns while sitting in those glass compartments.

I can still remember the sound of the planes going over during the war and the air raid sirens even though i was very young then. :ox
Great pictures and video, thanks for posting.
Wow fab pics thanks anotheoldgit, did you spot me? haha We were parked in the gateway of a field near Newark watching them too :) we got great pictures of them both and especially of the wonderful Vulcan!
Never seen a Vulcan in flight, only in pictures. There is a Vulcan at Southend but I don't think it will ever fly again.
Back in the 60's the V force bombers were based at RAF Finningley, now Robin Hood Airport, just a few miles from where we lived and it was a rare day that we didn't see a Vulcan,Valiant or Victor go over.
Sadly the Canadian Lanc 'Vera' is grounded at the mo. It was supposed to fly here at the airshow this weekend so I'm very disappointed not to be able to see the two together. Apparently BBMF are lending them an engine till they can fix theirs ready to get back home. On the upside the Vulcan is doing an extra flight today.
An Avro Vulcan, 2 Lancasters, a Spitfire and a Hurricane over Norfolk, stunnng. Standing under the nose of a Lancaster is daunting, as is seeing the B52 at Duxford, they must have been an awesome sight and sound during the big raids.
