Where to invest?

I have 5-10k i want to invest over 2-5 years. I am a higher rate tax payer and do not want a high risk product - anyone looked into this recently and found best option to take?

Minimum you should do is take up your �3,000 Mini Cash ISA entitlement. Open one now and invest the full �3,000 and then next April you can put in another �3,600 as the limit is being upped.

thanks for your reply but i already do that each april so unfortunately that is not an option at this stage, i need to know the next best place to invest?
Many Saturday & Sunday newspapers have a Financial section with Best Deals for investment - loans etc. If you look in say Mail - Telegraph - Times this weekend you will find their recommendations.
You could look in to hedge funds that accept lower than average minimum investments, because hedge funds can bring high profits with lower risks. Best regards,
