I suppose it depends which MOD is present.
I think you could be suspended for questioning inconsistency.....☺
;o)

Well, if I disappear, you'll know where I 've gone........and why.

That's exactly my point, ummmm. I shouldn't depend on who's about. That is not a fair system.
you should give me your e-mail address, tilly, in case/for when you are banned. ;o)
I don't think it does depend on who's about, does it? I seem to remember Ed saying a while ago that if a thread was reported which was in fact OK, he would reinstate it. Ed has the final word, after all.
or me, of course.

Ha!

So are you saying, boxy that I should email the Ed and ask for the thread to be reinstated?
I meant it. ;-(
I think he said he reviews the deleted threads and if he deems them okay he'll reinstate them.
Yeah, what ummm says - or if not, he'll tell you why it was taken off (but we do know he doesn't like threads about deleted threads)
but if it was filled to the gunwales with piratical oaths it will probably stay deleted.

The unfairness is that other unnecessarily vernacular threads linger on; but that's probably just because nobody who sees them reports them. And that's not really unfairness, it's just bad luck.

But luck shouldn't come into it, jno. If there are rules, they should be adhered to. I know what you are saying though. Some days it's ok, other days it isn't

Well but Tilly its like speeding, its always against the law but luck does come into whether you are caught or not for the same reason which is insufficient observers.
