Considering a new tumble dryer, what are the pros and cons against vented and condenser types please?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I've had both over the years .I prefer the condenser which I have had now for about 15 years .It's a Whirlpool ,never gone wrong .It's no hassle to empty the water container .Light comes on when it's full and I just pull it out , empty it and slot it back in.I never dry full loads of wet washing in it though .Prefer to line dry as much as possible if the weather is ok and use it mainly just to finish off and soften up .
I suppose it depends where you want to situate said dryer .Ours is out the back in the sun room next to the washing machine .I call it the sun room when in reality it's a sort of catch all room ..lol.I keep an airer out there too .
Then I just put the washing on that if it's still a bit damp off the line ,it drys over night then I finish it off in the dryer .Too expensive to run it all the time .

I don`t have a problem drying and airing in the winter when Central heating on but in the summer,I dry best I can ,on maiden etc.(if weather wet) but need to air it off...hence the need to buy a tumble dryer.Many many years ago,I had a small one,a Jackson,which had a filter in the door..no hose or water department ...very simple it was...gave it to my daughter...next thing...broke!!!
