Travel Problems Again Have To Go From Perth To Edinburgh Tonight
7 Answers
Hi there I am due to be in Edinburgh for 2 nights I have paid £130 in advance for a cheap deal. Since Friday I have got increasingly anxious and my parents offered to take me through at 2pm today but I backed out because this morning I read on the internet that there was congestion on the forth road bridge and quite bad delays. They were peeved off at me but I did tell them before that I prefer to travel in the dark. There is a bus tonight at 830pm it gets dark at 743pm tonight. I really think the roads should be quiet then and I could have a couple of days holiday but not been on a coach on my own for 2 years what is the worst that could happen? I am frightened I have a panic attack that sets off atrial fibrillation and that causes all sorts of problems being ill in a strange place away from home. I really want to go I deserve a holiday how can I get past this and do this.It just builds up cant eat and sleep 2 days before I go and Ive got all this adrenaline marching through me. Been taking 3 valium a day I dont think it helps long term. If I dont go Ive lost £130

Trains and planes are a nightmare for me as I can't really stop the train nor a plane but I can stop the bus! I never ever have done but the knowledge that i'm in control as opposed to being out of control relaxes me.
Take it from me gordie, you'll be fine. Strike up a wee chat with someone, that always helps and after all it's only an hour on the bus.
Just always remember that you're in control and you'll be fine. Have a lovely couple of day, Edinburgh's wonderful!

well, first apologise to you're parents, the what if's are bothering you. what if. you take you're medication before you leave home. what if you have a book newspaper to read, what if you take a wee treat to eat. what if you take deep breaths, what if nothing happens and you have a lovely time in Edinburgh, IF you take ill, just remember you are in central Scotland not deepest darkest Africa.
