My partner as no choice other than make Herself bankrupt .she ad fail a IVA
Because of Health problems she ad fill all the paper work but she does't
know if she needs to go to a solicitor to sworn affidavit, before takes the papers
to court, can you please help?.
Ring your local County Court office to find out their procedure - some make appointments for bankruptcy cases; others do them just on certain days & at certain times.
You go to the Court with the forms (3 copies) & the fee in cash (unless it is a charity cheque). No need for a solicitor at all.
No it looks as if she doesnt ( need a notary public )
Ring or better visit your local Citizens Advice Bureau
Antonio - the legal system in England is completely different to the legal systems where you come from ( Spain/Italy ). Notario Publico ( Notary Public ) do occur in England but they are rare and dont have many duties ( unlike abroad ).
It is important to take the advice of someone you can trust on this - such as you find in the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
