Changing sim cards between phones?
5 Answers
I currently have a Nokia 3310 and am thinking of getting a Nokia 6230, but I won't be changing my network (O2) or calling plan (Pay&Go). Will I be able to simply swap my sim card from the old phone to the new one, thus keeping my old number and preventing me having to re-enter my contacts, reminders, etc. I presume I would have to buy an unlocked phone or one locked to O2? It can't really be that easy can it?

It might be that some things like your address book are stored on your phone rather than the SIM but beyond that it should work OK. Try to make a phone call from the new phone with the old SIM and if that works, bob's yer auntie.
