PC is just going crazy now. I just found that if you want to buy the script for 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves', all the bits referring to dwarfs have been erased and changed to gnomes. There was also an incident with a school involving the rhyme 'ba ba black sheep'. Is this ridiculous or is it just me? If you agree, give some examples, if you can.

don't get me started!!! the world is crazy. and baa baa rainbow sheep as its now supposed to be known is just daft! i hate the fact that lots of schools can no longer have their traditional nativity play for fear of offending other religions. when i was a kid we had mixed religions taking part, no problems. i know we live in a different world today but it just getting ridiculous.

In making such an insinuation you are in fact the one that appears to be stirring. I hope that was not the case and in fact it was just an error on your part.

The Baabaa Black Sheep story was just tabloid spinning. They made it up knowing that the simple-minded would fall for it because it told them what they wanted to hear. (The sort of people who pride themselves on never falling for political spin.)

I'm not saying anyone on AB did fall for it, of course...

Does anyone know when and where these stories first appeared? has anyone ever worked in a school where they were told not to use the word 'blackboard'? Are you able to provide proof?
