Where can I buy Chinese dress fabric ?

Does anyone know where I can buy Chinese dress fabric. The sort of silky/satin with blossom embroidered on it in various colours. I've only ever seen it made up into the dresses in China town but I would like some to make cushion covers etc.

They often have this for sale on ebay in 5 metre lengths. I bought some last year and it was really cheap and glorious quality (and the chinese stamps on the parcel were appreciated by my nephew!).

Otherwise you could look in John Lewis. They have some jaquard silks in the evening/wedding fabric section - but they don't have overtly chinese designs, just flowers or jewel patterns.

You could try going to an Asian area and ask in Indian fabric shops as they may be able to order some in for you... or maybe even have some similar designs?

I think you can buy Chinese dresses from internet in Brighton. You can just ask the website whether they can also sell fabric of the Chinese dress.

I have found some websites which sell the Chinese dresses in a fair price.
