There have been many times when I would rather have been served by a robot.
Quite so, zebo. Or rather not have been served by anybody at all, such is the standard of some shop staff. And they wonder why their jobs are at risk with the rise of online shopping.
chances are i'd still walk out empty handed because they haven't got it in
Little privacy. Money taken from my account when I've not even passed over cash or a card ? I know what I think they can do with that vision.
I don't think there will be high streets at all for much longer. An ever increasing amount of shopping is done online. I know I avoid actually going shopping like the plague.
When you think about it 1-200 people with wheeled baskets moving around a few thousand square metres of aisles of goods picking what they want and taking it to a checkout where a human takes money from them will seem a bizarre activity for future generations.
It's always seemed bizarre to me quoi! Even when I do go I do my best to avoid any human interaction. The self service devices are a godsend to me.

It's also the power of online shopping that I like. I can run comparisons read reviews buy the best at the lowest price and a man in a van brings it. What's not to like?
I have done on line shopping for years, before that mail order. I also avoid human contact if possible unfortuatley I often get help without asking, appartly I look like a big thick builder.
