does anyone know the title of the film starring David Niven set in the Second World War,he has jumped from an aircraft without a parachute ..and has to justify his right to stay alive

One of my all time favourite films of all time!
It was called Stairway to Heaven in the USA so you might find it listed under that aswell. You can get it on dvd really cheap nowadays.
