Sorry I missed you on Mamya's thread last night....
Yes, Joan Baez was wonderful..as always...
She had her son Gabe playing which was nice.....one other chap...Dirk Powell....a brilliant musician and a lass, Grace Stumberg... who sang a couple of songs with her...
It felt like an evening in a folk club....just brilliant.....x
Gness I have an old tape of a Joan Baez 60s LP that I recorded from the vinyl record. I play it in my car all the time, scratches, clicks and all. My favourite tracks are 'Farewell Angelina' and 'It's a Hard Rain's Gonna Fall.' That last one just about accompanies my trip down to the local newsagents in our nearest village, about 7 minutes or so and the bass accompaniment on that is superb.
She sings Dylan's songs better than he ever could.
Hi, Cory...I think I have everything she's recorded and she kept me sane on late night journeys to and from the hospital......a different voice now but just as wonderful.....x
