Forgive me for entering a Home post here but I know this gets more viewers in the morning.

Have just got up and cleaned my teeth with a mixture of cold and hot water.

Came downstairs to kitchen and started to wash few dishes when I realised I have absolutely no cold water at all.

My nephew is a plumber and will get him later - anybody have any suggestions as to what has happened. Everything ok last night. Thanks

if you have no water at all there may be works near you on a burst water pipe .
have you asked your neighbours if they have water ?
Do you mean when you turn the kitchen cold tap on nothing comes out? If so check with neighbours if they have water or ring your water company, maybe there's a problem.

Mallyh - you are so clever - they are doing a lot of work on water pipes round here. Will ask my neighbour. That is probably the right answer.

By the way - did you see my post asking you if you enjoyed the 3 fish roast from Lidl.

I tried to buy some but 3 of the Lidl stores didn't have any and actually one of the staff said "oh we only get it in at Xmas." Thanks Mallyh - hope you are well and your daughter. JjCon
It is possible the street stopcock has been turned off to cope with a problem. See any activity outside ?

I take it for granted you don't have any automatic water turn off kit installed ?
Ah I now see you do have works going on nearby. Probably it then. Go down and ask them what's going on.

sorry my reply was a few posts down. rang neighbour - she has cold water but I realise her side of the street is different to mine. she has gas where I am oil - and she did say the water men are actually working away. Will contact other neighbour soon. Do think that is the problem.
jennyjoan the fish was excellent .my daughter been given the all clear but needs 2 more ops one to sort something out in her bowel and another for a hernia she got when diving forward on a bus to stop a pram tipping up and baby hitting face on a pole (the mother just carried on with her phone call).thankyou for asking xx
