I am interested in the way you use your smart tv, especially if you don't live alone and have it as the main tv.

How often do you use the smart functions? Do you use it to Skype or browse the internet?

Have not once used the smart features, mainly cause have them on other devices.

That agrees with a news report that I recently read. I can see a smart tv being useful if you live alone, or for the bedroom, but not in a family setting.

I think it would be very clunky to browse the internet that way compared to tablets, laptops even smartphones,

Yup, for catch up only. But then we didn't buy the TV because it was smart.

Doesn't it cost more to buy the smart version?

All the TV's we looked at were about the same price. We chose the one with the best sound/picture.
