Twenty degrees at 9:20pm. Sitting on the balcony drinking Appleton rums and coke, smoking a cigarette or two, and admiring the stars. What's it like at yours?

I'm just into the last glass of a nice Bordeaux, a 2012 Mauregard, and am consuming nicotine replacement tablets like they were sweets. A chill in the evening air is telling us the summer's gone.

Attempting to quit the Sir Walter Raleigh weed, Sandy? It's quite easy: I've done it numerous times:) Over here, you wouldn't think that Fall (Autumn) had descended. It's supposed to be in the 20's for the next few days.

I haven't smoked for years. The trouble is I've replaced cigarettes with tablets as a means of getting my nicotine fix.
We get a 'chill in the air' to tell us Summers gone. Do you get three or four foot of snow soon after the red leaves have fallen?

I've tried those tablets and they don't seem to work for me. Hopefully, the Big Snowman in the sky will put off his molting for a couple of months. A portion of Southern Ontario is actually further south than some parts of Northern California. Anyway, I'm off to read a good book...G' night.

We had some rain last night here in South Wales, the first for many weeks. But its clear now and looks as if its going to be another lovely day. What a great summer we have had this year !
