Problem With Nails - Help!

Hi guys

I have a problem with my fingernails and wondered if anyone could help?

The white tips are gradually becoming more white towards the base of the nail.
This is very gradual and has been happening for a little while now.

I have a problem with very soft nails and have been using an oil to help with this and they have improved slightly.

Does anyone know what this could be? Is it a deficiency in something maybe?
