Have just received another item from Amazon and I am happy with it.

But has this happened to any of you. I was informed this morning by email that the said item would arrive between 10.30 am and 12.30 and so it did indeed. That was good service.

Just looked at email and it was the delivery service who sent me the email. Would be great for other delivery services as you can be sure you are in at the specified times.
I've found that couriers DPD offer a very good info service for their deliveries...online you are told exactly where they are and when they will be with you, within a few minutes!
I agree Ginge, DPD is an excellent delivery service
Yodel is Krap if you've ever had to use them.
I get great service from all the couriers who come here including Yodel.
Did you know that DPD drivers get trouble if they arrive at deliveries early?
No woofgang, I didn't. That's terrible isn't it? I've never had good experiences with YODEL. Maybe I've just been very unlucky.
its funny. The delivery blokes ask if they can hang around for a minute or two or they park up the road.
Around here, DPD's driver is always called Barry!

That is right it was DPD - brilliant service however, not for those perhaps who don't have access to internet.
One of them sends me texts with the same two hour window message, could be DPD but I'm not sure.
It's certainly not Yodel, I know that much!
My experience with DPD is brilliant too, ours is always called BOB - they email and text me with anticipated delivery time, and you can check their progress on line (BOB is currently delivering No, 3, you are No. 94...)

Hermes seems good too, that's the one where couriers use their own cars for delivery.
I've never heard of DPD,but I've never had any problems with Yodel.
At least twice Yodel have not delivered to me on the day the parcel was due, normal lame excuse of not being able to find the address and on one occasion they did deliver on time, the parcel was just thrown over the fence into a puddle.
I have lots of deliveries at home, the only ones who never give me a time are Royal Mail and Parcelforce. Hermes, DPD, Interlink, UPS, Yodel etc all usually give you a 1 or 2 hour time slot.
I have found Hermes to be very good, I use them a lot with Ebay deliveries.
