Seems it is just a surname that is to be highlighted?

I struggled with this but have completed it and can now focus on my latest musical venture. Anyone in Cheshire out there? - try to get to a performance of Over By Christmas (at railway stations during September). Very poignant, commemorating WWi.

A bit late on this one. I have a completed grid, the quotation and its author, but I'm blowed where I can find him in there. No letters in sequence and I have tried combinations of initial letters of answers , but to no avail. Any hints please ?
