Question Author
Had to pay for the ride wrist band tho.
Back in the 70's we went to a safari park and on leaving we broke down. An AA man came over and said "Are you with the AA mate" Mic said no the RAC. He said you better call them out mate the monkeys have pulled the loom out of you car.
nailit, did you ever go to the West Mids Safari Park when they had the monkeys roaming around ?, they had to stop letting the monkeys roam around a few years ago. To many cars getting damaged.
Question Author
jezza, whats loom?
Tony, Last went west midlands about 20 yrs ago, cant remember if they had chimps (or monkeys of any kind) then. Got no monkeys now tho. Always a bit of a worry when you have a hire car, going to these places. Never know if your going to get the vehicle back in one piece.
Nailit, I think it is where all the electrics are attached. Tony will know.
Wiring loom, runs the electrics on the car.
They weren't chimps, nailit. They were like those monkeys in Gibraltar, they used to like ripping windscreen wipers and radio aerials off.
Question Author
oh thank you tony and jezz.
I used to be a driver for a living (7 1/2 ton driver) but im so out of touch with vehicles now its ridiculous. The car....or people carrior... I had today was a t*at to drive. Peddles too high, no handbrake ( had another peddle to apply the handbrake and a lever to release it). I must be getting old...
Question Author
Barbury apes I think Tony, none of those now.
Hope you didn't have any hill starts, nailit.

It sounds like a good day nailit.
At least your car didn't catch fire in the lion enclosure like the family at Longleat earlier in the year.
