I have just installed Doom 3 on my PC that runs Windows XP. It all installed fine, but when I tried to open the game, it came up with an error message, saying error during initialisation, and that
The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features
I just wandered if anyone could tell me where I can download and install the correct drivers for this game?

thank you all

you can download the latest drivers for your gfx card by visiting the main manufacturer eg most likely ATI or Nvidia.

it sounds to me that your gfx card simply isnt up to the job tho.

What is your computer's specification? (specifically, RAM, processor speed, and graphics card model number)

I don't know the answers to these fo3nix - how do I find out that information - and how do I find out what graphics card I have?

Right-click my computer (on the desktop), and click properties.

there at the bottom it should say how much RAM you have, together with a processor speed. IF not, it may tell you when you first switch the computer on, a few seconds after you have done, on the first black screen with white text to greet you.

then also while in my computer -> properties, click one of the other tabs, which will have a button on it saying "device manager." click that and then click on the little plus next to "display adapters". this should tell you what graphics card you have.

either that, or if your computer came with any information, it may tell you there.
