pubs open at 12?
Good question!! I've never been to a car boot sale as they all start at the crack of dawn and I am most definitely not a morning person.

Midday or early afternoon would be great!
I'd like to do a boot sale but I'm not waking up at the crack of dawn to do it. I'm up at 6 during the week and I look forward to my lie-ins at the weekend. Would be good if they started later in the day.
When I go to Eastbourne every summer, there is one that starts at 11am in Pevensey, good idea.
everyone wants to be first to buy/sell, so that's market economics.
Jno they can still be first at midday!
We have two boot sales near us. One started at 7am and the other one was called The late riser, starting a lot later. Due to public demand they both start at 7am now.
People buy less junk if they're properly awake perhaps?
Ours go on until about 4pm as it is!
I've always wondered that myself and yet they are always crowded. I never get to one before 10 or 10:30 and by then I suppose all the best stuff have gone but they are interesting.
Butterbun, I look on it that people do not always want to buy the same stuff, I always find lots and lots that I want, but I only go when in UK once a year!
Oh yes netibiza, I agree. I usually buy loads of plants at half the garden centre prices so, bargains.
Always annoys me too. They start way too early ....

Quite a few I go to start around lunchtime.
Early Bird catches the worm, these are the time when an item you need may be on some ones table.
