Oh no the Semi Final can't believe it has gone so fast :-(

Patisserie this week which is a real test of skills. Treats on offer will be baklava, German schichttorte and entremets. Can't wait here is the taster:

Wow, fifth time star baker, that is some doing! I am glad though, he's lovely!

Not a surprising result given the bakes but I feel Chetna let herself down a bit tonight (as much as you can say that as she made it this far!) as I thought she would make the final.

Awww they're all emotional! Wonder what terrors they have in store for them for the final next week! Hope it's a better job than the wedding cakes they did last year!

Yet again I missed most of the show, will have to sort out my life a bit :-)

Did see the last 10 mins with the sound turned down so I know the result but I really want to see the cakes this week they looked so delicate and tricky.

It seems to have gone by really quickly this year. Did anyone watch extra slice? they served a shichetort (wrong spelling I know, cba to go back and correct) and opinion was it was dry dry dry.....and blooming Paul counting the lairs. Actually its just an old fashioned pronunciation, not wrong. The celebrated novelist Dorothy Sayers' surname was pronounced "Sairs"

The 'lairs' should have been counted, that was the task set, 20 layers. Not fair if someone had a great cake but had not made it correctly, and someone elses would not be so great but had made sure it had the required 20 layers.
