proXimal, aka eXternal, making his EV debut I believe. A quirky theme to be sure, but all the more entertaining for that. The clues felt fairly easy, I thought, so hopefully an accessible EV that will encourage solvers to read further into the topic. Thanks, proXimal.

I'm also sure it's not accidental that 14dn, an otherwise normal clue, is thematically linked to another member of the subset in question.
Yes, a nice puzzle and an interesting topic. The title certainly helps as well.
Another enjoyable ev. Mostly completed watching sons rugby tots session. A cool theme, and one I will read about I think, the mark of what I regard as a great puzzle. Thank you proximal.
Hello All,
Didn't quite populate the grid in clue order sequence, but it wasn't far short of it, so the inscription appeared quickly. I had not heard of the theme, but it will make interesting reading. Time for a large preprandial, I certainly will not be taking a pill to deter me from a second one!
Really nice puzzle, I thought. The theme was something new to me, and I will also be reading up on it. The significance of the title eluded me for most of the day, but I've just worked it out. At first I thought it might be a near-anagram!
