Wet And Dry Men's Electric Shavers

What is the point of WET and Dry shavers? Does it really matter. I just want to shave myself. Is there such a thing a a normal dry shaver with three floating heads. Some of these Wet and Dry shavers are nearly £300! Would you know by looking at someones face that they used a £300 or £50 shaver?? By the way its men's shavers in am speaking about!

PK...I have tried loads of electric shavers over the years and they all turned out to be useless. I now use cheap disposable blades from Wilkinson and a good quality shaving gel by Nivea ! Tried a beard years ago but it just looked as if I had been run over.

Shaving is an entirely personal matter for a man.

I use an electric if i am in a rush, but I don;t like it because it pulls my skin and gives me a rash.

I usually shave with a Giletter 3-blade jobbie and some aloe vera gel because i have skin like a girl.

I loathe shaving, but occasionally pay £8.00 for a cuthroat shave at a local babers. There are no hot towels, which I do like, and last time, he did it quite badly, I had to shave again when i got home - so no more going there.

Then, after a brainwave, i wandered down to our local Asian community, about ten minutes from where i work, and found a Muslim barber.

He gave me a full face massage, cream, shaving soap, lathered for about three minutes, cuthroat shave, water spray, another face massage, aftershave, and moisturiser, finishing up with another full face massage - whole thing took twenty-five minutes, and he charged be £3.50!

I have been back a couple of times, and since he is open until seven in the evening every day except Monday, I am going at least once a week.

I reccomend anyone to find a local Asian barber - much better than a 'grooming salon'.

I agree janbee ! about 10 years ago, I thought I would grow a moustache. As it wouldn't have been a good idea to do this wile I was working, I waited until I had two weeks in my Cornish caravan. I grew very attached to the furry little thing and I was determined to keep it. But after a month, my 7 year old niece told me that it made me look old.

Within 10 mins I was clean shaven again. I am 61 now and need all the help I can get !

There was a fashion in the '70's for men in my area - Stoke - to grow moustaches.

I don;t like them personally, and was put of permanently by a colleague who opined - why would a man want to cultivate under his nose, something that grows wild out of his ar*e!

Last year I grew a goatee for Mowvember. I must say it looked rather cool..even the kids liked it. Then,1 evening the beardy bit started itching like mad and I shaved it off. In the space of ten minutes I went from Mr Cool to Mr Paedo:-(
