I have just been phoned by a payday loan company asking me if I want a loan !call was from India of course, not content with advertising they now want to target you at home !She cut me off because I was rude to her LOL ! where do they get your name from ? I have never had a loan of any sort not even from the bank.

Last time I had a call offering me a loan I laughed and told them I was a multi millionaire. They haven't bothered me since

Why do you bother talking to them? Just put the phone down without dialogue,no need for rudeness , these people are only doing a job they have been paid to do, its nothing personal.

I keep the answering machine on at all times and screen all calls. They never speak to a machine and hang up.

I've come in from work and had messages about free boilers and PPI's on my answer machine, they are recorded messages.

PiperH, exactly! These people are often from third world countries trying to make a living, either say nothing and put the phone down, or say politely 'no thank you' then do the same. Its just plain bad manners to do anything else.
