Did you enjoy the Sondheim ? One of my favourite bits of the Proms !

What a great asset YouTube is...not sure how a managed without it.

By the way Sqad...could you bring a bottle of Veterano or Fundador with you please...difficult to get over here !
I'm no expert on these things Sqad, but I think the natives are friendlier in the south where they speak The Queen's English than in the north where they insist they can only understand Welsh. I'd imagine most of the arson might have been further up the map.

OG...if you have ever spent any time in the Valleys, the term "Queens English" is the last thing that comes to mind ! They be talking "Tidy" there they be ! See what Rob Brydon has to say ::

When I worked in North Wales I stayed in a village tat was at the epicentre of burning holiday homes. Here is how it worked. Local lads went to pub and got rattarsed. Local commie malcontent (aren't they always?) got them roused up and on being chucked out they looked for the nearest holiday cottage that hadn't yet been burned down. I was hardly a revolution, just drunken prats. I'm amazed they didn't burn themselves down.

When I was a BT Engineer, we had a Telephone Kiosk repair man that lived right in the heart of Snowdonia. He was suspected of being involved with
Meibion Glyndŵr ( sons of Glyndwr) a terrorist group. He was caught on one occasion with a container of petrol in his van, by his BT Inspector. He couldn't adequately explain why he needed this and the Police were called. I am not sure what happened to him, as he left BT shortly afterwards. He never liked me as I was an English Bar Steward apparently !
I thought organised crime in wales was the Tafia!

///I have experienced the Quiet Pub routine myself, once or twice but only in Gog Land, up north, and never in the south. Offering to buy a round of drinks usually works though ! ///

So, you have to 'bribe' your way into a Welsh Pub then?
